(Working onsite) Location: Media City/6th of October
Responsibilities:
-Creating and synchronizing subtitles for various media
content, including TV shows, films, documentaries, and
other videos.
-Proofreading and editing subtitles to ensure accuracy,
quality, grammar, and spelling
-Collaborating with compliance editorial teams to ensure
all requirements are met, and all media content is
compliant.
-Time the subtitles to match the audio and video, use
subtitle software to create and format subtitles -Ensure that subtitles are culturally appropriate and
reflect the intended meaning of the content -Meet strict deadlines for completing projects
-Communicate effectively with project managers and
other team members
-Maintaining a log of replacement episodes and updating related fields, such as TX date, status, notes,
replacements, etc., on Shahid Airtable tool.
-Communicating with the IT team for delivery workflows
and policies from suppliers and vendors once needed.
Requirements:
-2-4 years of Experience in French translation. - A degree or equivalent in linguistics, translation or a
related field -Familiarity with subtitle techniques and market software such as Aegisub, EZTitles, Subtitle Edit, and Adobe
Premiere -Attention to detail and ability to work under tight
deadlines
-Excellent command of the English, Arabic language.
French is a plus. -Good understanding of different cultures and their
communication styles
-Good communication and interpersonal skills -Experience in subtitling for media content is a plus
